This was so exciting to be part of the 2022 Portugal and Morocco Watercolour Masterclass with world acclaimed Australian artist and tutor Ev Hales. Morocco is one of those countries that just intrigues and excites and sounds so airy-fairy but it is true! There is just something so special about visiting Morocco with its stunning Arabesque architecture, souks, and even blue-coloured cities – it’s unlike any other place you can visit so close to Europe. This three-week escorted boutique masterclass kicked-off in Porto Northern Portugal and then to the beautiful UNESCO World heritage Douro Valley in Portugal and the medieval walled village of Óbidos as well as Lisbon and finishes at Rick’s Café in legendary Casablanca. In Morocco, we painted at Fès, with its 9,000 alleyways, to the gorges of Ziz, Todra and Dadès and the magical city of Marrakech in the Sahara Desert.
